A free camp for those who cannot afford treatment for Upper and Lower limb Orthopaedic problems, from the Vijayawada area. Our Inaugural Orthopaedic Camp will be supported by the Rotary Club of Vijayawada (Dr K Pattabhiramaiah and Mr A Ponnam). Implants have been kindly donated by Mr Joe Putnam USA (Zimmer-Biomet), and Mr Jason Tinker USA (Smith and Nephew).

AIm: Assess Upper and Lower limb orthopaedic problems (pre-screened by Local Vijayawada renowed orthopaedic surgeons – Dr M J Naidu, Dr Vasu Karlapudi, and Dr Srinivas Kambampati). Once the patients have been pre-screened (assessed for relevant pathological conditions within the scope of this camp, and their inclusion criteria of underprivileged background), they will be assessed by Specialist Orthopaedic Surgeons From USA and India during the first day of the Camp. The second and third days of the camp will include the surgeries to correct the patients’ conditions, and the fourth day will be for post-operative checks and rehabilitation instructions.

The Orthopaedic Camp schedule will include lectures (for local surgeons/physiotherapists/trainee surgeons/Medical student/and interested general public) and workshops for skill acquisition for local surgeons.
