Science Class in Rural Village School
The teaching of science is an important part of global modern education, especially as the expectations of the global citizen changes. While a lot of science can be taught with text books and chalk boards, it is difficult to truly unlock the young inquiring mind in this traditional manner. However, interactive science classes which include practical experiments and hands-on interaction have been proven to be more effective in ingraining concepts, principles and facts. Hence we aim to continue to furnish schools that serve underprivileged and rural populations with books, infra-structure, and equipment. Our experience to date has been that equipment such as slide microscopes with a set of slides and slide making supplies, and macro dissection microscopes have significantly enhanced the teaching of biology in rural schools. In addition we have supplied Anatomical and science related laminated posters which now are hung on classroom walls, which were previously bare walls.
