There are many instances of adults who have either fallen on hard times, lost their jobs and/or families, and have few, if any, resources to survive. Many such individuals are invisible to most societies, but are in need to support. A strategy we employ is to provide food and shelter, in return for some nominal work around the facilities (picking up and emptying rubbish, weed control etc), active participation in separate vocational education (tailored education for locally available employment opportunities), and continued search for employment where applicable.
